Good Friday is a gazetted public holiday in Singapore, where many Christians and Catholics, like the rest of the world, will observe and remember Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and death on Calvary, and commemorate and celebrate his resurrection on Easter Sunday. The Catholic Church treats Good Friday as a fast day, where the Catholics have one full meal and 2 small meals, and abstain from eating meat.
